Geisler & Gabriele donates Computers to Help Build Computer Lab
The attorneys of Garden City Law firm, Geisler & Gabriele, recently teamed-up with a local charity to recycle some of its old technology equipment. According to firm spokesperson Jon-Paul Gabriele, "We read an article which appeared in the Garden City Life about a local charity, Comp4Kids, which refurbishes unwanted computers for underprivileged children. When we made the move to upgrade our technology, we were glad we could help out other families. The process was simple, and all of the information we needed was on the charity's website."
According to Jon Zimmerman, a Great Neck School Teacher and founder of the local not-for-profit company, "Geiseler & Gabriele donated 18 computer systems to our 501(c)(3) charity; and they even arranged for delivery to our location at their expense. We completely refurbished their computers and then donated them to the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in NYC which is the oldest Black Church in New York State. The church, which is located on West 137th Street, will be using these computers to set up a computer lab for area youngsters." Before any computer equipment is donated, the Comp4Kids uses state of the art data destruction software to completely erase the computers' hard drives. In effect, the recipient receives a "brand new" computer.
