Lori A. Marano joined the firm of Schiavetti, Geisler, et al in 1987 and became a partner in 1991. She joined the firm of Geisler & Gabriele, LLP upon its formation in March of 2000. She is a graduate of Hofstra University School of Law. Ms. Marano is the co-author of New York Medical Malpractice [1994 ed.], a three volume treatise. She has been the editor of the New York Malpractice Law Update, a weekly publication reporting on all types of professional negligence.

Ms. Marano handles appeals, as well as complex legal matters that arise during litigation. She is past Chair of the Appellate Practice Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association.

Ms. Marano has successfully represented physicians in matters involving the Office of Professional Medical Conduct. She has lectured on the law to various bar associations and on risk management for insurance companies and hospitals. Rounding out her duties to the firm, Ms. Marano has tried many cases successfully to verdict.
