Guido Gabriele III
Guido is a graduate of Chaminade High School, Hofstra University School of Business, and St. John's University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Gabriele won the National White Collar Crime competition in Washington, D.C.
After law school, Mr. Gabriele entered the Nassau County District Attorney's Office where he practiced for over 4 years. While with that Office, he gained trial experience in a wide variety of matters. While a member of the Economic Crimes Bureau and Technology Crime Unit, Mr. Gabriele handled cases involving allegations of identity theft, grand larcenies of over one million dollars, tax evasion, and other white collar crimes. Mr. Gabriele's technological expertise was put to use in investigations and prosecution of computer-related crimes including child predators, child pornography, cyber-harassment, Google click fraud, hackers, and other computer-related financial fraud. Mr. Gabriele also received training in computer investigations from the Secret Service, the Department of Homeland Security, and other law enforcement organizations.
Mr. Gabriele's time as a prosecutor afforded him the opportunity to prosecute several high-profile cases, including the 2008 fatal trampling of a Wal-Mart employee on Black Friday and the criminal conviction and OPMC investigation of a cardiologist who used a hidden camera to secretly videotape his patients and employees.
After leaving the District Attorney's Office, Mr. Gabriele continues to pursue his passion for technology. In early 2010, Mr. Gabriele was appointed a Special Prosecutor for the Nassau County District Attorney's Office on a case involving technological patents and extortion. Mr. Gabriele lectures to students about Internet safety and cyber-bullying. Most recently, Mr. Gabriele presented to attorneys at the Suffolk County Bar Association on the topics of Cyber-Bullying and the investigation of computer-related legal matters.
Mr. Gabriele brings to Geisler & Gabriele his technological skills and knowledge of applicable laws to provide counsel on a wide variety of legal matters, including health-care and computer-related crimes, white collar crimes, online harassment, cyber-bulling and online profile management, Medicare/ Medicaid billing issues, insurance audit and fraud issues, consumer credit, and professional licensing and OPMC issues.
Mr. Gabriele resides in New York City and is an avid cyclist.
