Guido Gabriele
Guido Gabriele is a graduate of the Hofstra University School of Law. He began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office. From 1982 until March 2000, he practiced with the firm of Schiavetti and Schiavetti, Geisler et. al.
Mr. Gabriele has been a member of the Judicial Screening Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association and served as appointed Chair. He was also appointed to the Bench/Bar Committee and the Committee on Professionalism and was co-chair of the Ethics Committee.
He is a past president of the Columbian Lawyers Association of Suffolk County and former Treasurer of the Alexander Hamilton Inns of Court.
Mr. Gabriele is one of the firm’s trial lawyers and handles matters involving professional regulations and licensing (OPMC and OPD), federal and state regulations and compliance, Medicare/Medicaid issues and investigations, and Peer Review and Hospital Credentialing and criminal matters.
In addition to trial practice, Mr. Gabriele has lectured extensively on Risk Management & Suit Avoidance for individual healthcare providers, many of the hospitals throughout the greater Metropolitan area and insurance companies. Videos of his lectures prepared for one of the major professional liability carriers can be accessed through the internet. He has also completed Risk Management seminars for each of the healthcare facilities and clinics maintained by one of the municipalities in the Greater Metropolitan Area. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of a local hospital.
Mr. Gabriele resides with his wife, Sandi Gabriele, who is former Mayor of Plandome Heights, New York, and their five children.
