Colleen Nugent Harbert

Colleen Nugent Harbert attended Long Island University – C.W. Post Campus on a full scholarship and attained her Bachelor of Arts Degree, Magna Cum Laude, in 1991. She then earned her law degree, with honors, from St. John’s University School of Law in 1994.

Upon graduation, Ms. Nugent Harbert served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Office of District Attorney in Kings County for 4 years, from 1994 through 1998, in charge of perfecting appeals, issuing indictments, and successfully prosecuting offenders of criminal charges. Thereafter, she served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Office of District Attorney in Suffolk County for 7 years, from 1998 through 2005, in charge of trying and convicting major felony offenders. Ms. Nugent Harbert has practiced as a defense attorney at Geisler & Gabriele since 2005 where she has defended medical, podiatric, nursing, and mental health providers.

Ms. Nugent Harbert is admitted to practice law in the Courts of the State of New York and New Jersey, and she is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, the Suffolk County Bar Association, and the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association.
